With endless slopes to shred and wakes to ride, it’s easy to forget to rest while you’re gallivanting around South Lake Tahoe. While taking breaks isn’t mandatory, there are plenty of unique and exclusive hotel comforts to lure you off the trails for some exceptional down time.
In collaboration with Lake Tahoe, our Expedia.com team pinpointed some local hotels with amenities that invite you to unwind with a cocktail or release some tension in Mountain Pose. Spiff up your ride at the gear shop or rejuvenate your muscles at the spa. Best of all, you don’t need a room key to check out these features—even non-guests are free to partake.

Lakeland Village offers a complimentary seasonal shuttle that makes getting to Heavenly Mountain Resort simple and stress-free. Guests can skip the parking hassle and enjoy a quick, convenient ride from the property to the slopes, making it easy to maximize time on the mountain.

When your muscles are crying after a day of mountain biking on the Tahoe Rim Trail or shredding up the terrain parks, give them a little TLC at Grand Residences by Marriott’s Serenity Spa in Heavenly Village. The resort features studios and one- and two-bedroom units, but you don’t have to be a hotel guest to relish relaxation at its finest. Indulge with the spa’s reflexology treatment, which soothes achy hands and feet, or go for the deep-tissue massage that will have you back out on the trails first thing in the morning.

You’ll find plenty of outdoor activities where you can get your thrills and adrenaline rushes, but The Landing can add some balance to your life. Lake Tahoe’s only 5-star boutique hotel provides Afternoon Yoga, Snow Flow for Skiers and Riders, and Weekend Wind-Down sessions, which include strength-building and restorative moves to benefit your health on and off the terrain. Take a deep breath, ground yourself, and move through a 75-minute Vinyasa flow. Classes are free for hotel guests and cost less than the price of lunch for everyone else.

Blu Nightclub inside Bally’s Tahoe has been revamped with a new sound and lighting system, and Late-Nite Productions will be presenting a rotating array of some of the hottest DJ’s from the West Coast at Blu every Saturday night. It is a free party every Saturday (except when there are live concerts).
It doesn’t matter if you’re a Tahoe local or a visitor from afar, these hotel features welcome everyone to swing by between ski runs or standup paddleboard lessons. During your next South Lake Tahoe adventures, slip in a yoga session and pencil in a night on the dance floor.
