Tahoe's February Festivities Spice Up The Ski Season: Football, Romantic Celebrations, Special Events & Entertainment

Feb. 4, 2026 (SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif./Nev.) – Big Game celebrations, Mardi Gras, Valentine’s Day, and Presidents’ Day, skiing and riding — February at South Lake Tahoe is booked with non-stop indoor and outdoor activities that have it recognized as one of America’s most popular winter destinations.

Whether it’s a couple, family, or girls/guys getaway, the winter outdoor scene offers skiing/snowboarding at Heavenly Mountain Resort, Kirkwood Mountain Resort, and Sierra-at-Tahoe, ice skating, sledding, tubing, snowmobiles, or an après firepit to celebrate the day. 

Heavenly Mountain Resort’s Toyota Air and Après, returns for the 4th annual with a three-day event   featuring DJ sets and a festival village offering an array of vendors, dining options, beverages, and thrilling big-air event at the base of World Cup by California Main Lodge. Skilled athletes demonstrate gravity-defying stunts on a 45-foot jump with Heavenly as the canvas for a light show, Feb. 27-March 1.

FOOTBALL, MUSIC AND DANCING

The Big Game is Sunday, Feb. 8, with the New England Patriots vs. Seattle Seahawks. Grab some bites and beverages and place a bet at any of the casino sports books, or sample the litany of sports bars/pubs throughout South Lake Tahoe. “Watch Party” highlights include Golden Nugget’s new Bills Sportsbook, Rush Lounge, or the Revolution Ballroom; the Loft Theatre in the Heavenly Village, or Tipsy Putt — all with a variety of game day eats, drink specials, and viewing experiences for Super Bowl LX.

Mardi Gras Masquerade Ball at Riva Grill features live brass band entertainment, signature cocktails including Hurricanes, Sazeracs, French 75s, and authentic New Orleans-inspired hors d’oeuvres with jambalaya, blackened chicken, Cajun shrimp skewers, and more, Feb. 11. “Laissez les bons temps rouler” (let the good times roll) with a mini second line parade, dance floor, themed photo booth, contests, prizes, and silent auction supporting the Boys & Girls Club of Lake Tahoe.

Bourbon Street meets Lake Tahoe with an all-day Mardi Gras Jamboree at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe, Feb. 14 from 11 a.m. with live music throughout the property, festive themed bars, and colorful décor inspired by Bourbon Street. Keep it going as the party continues at PEEK Nightclub, where DJ Roxy Ferrari will have the Mardi Gras spirit alive with a fully themed nightclub experience. 

ROMANTIC EVENTS

At the Golden Nugget Lake Tahoe, Love at the Lake Valentine’s Day features events with wine tastings of over 75 exceptional wines from French Houses and Napa Valley favorites with decadent bites from Mastro’s Steakhouse, Oyster Bar, Saltgrass Steakhouse and Bill’s Burgers, imported chocolates, live music by the Pop Rebels Band in the Revolution Ballroom, as well as VIP options. 

Love can also prove fatal, at least during Til Death Do Us Part — a Valentine’s Day Murder Mystery Dinner filled with intrigue, twists, and wine at Idle Hour Wine & Bubbly Bar, Feb. 13 at 5:30 p.m.

Valentine’s Day Dinner Cruise aboard the M.S. Dixie II paddle wheeler includes live music, dinner, and an evening on the lake with stars above and the crescent moon illuminating the snow-capped mountains over the water, Feb. 14 from 5-8 p.m.

New this year is a guided Valentine’s Day Sunset Snowshoe with Champagne & Dessert by Tahoe Adventure Company as guests trek through Tahoe’s peaceful forest, watch the sun cast an alpenglow onto the Sierra while sipping champagne and indulging on sweets. (Locations vary on snowpack, ability level and to proximity of accommodations.)

NIGHTLIFE & ENTERTAINMENT

The February schedule at the Tahoe Blue Event Center features the Tahoe Knight Monsters, ECHL pro hockey team games Feb. 4, 6-7. 18. 20-21. On Feb. 24, TobyMac, rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer, takes the stage. 

Casino entertainment at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe South Shore Room features electronic dance music producer and DJ Dillion Francis, Feb. 6;  Michael Shannon & Jason Narducy and Friends play R.E.M.’s Life’s Rich Pageant in full, Feb. 16; a founding Beach Boys member Al Jardine & The Pet Sound Boys perform, Feb. 21; singer-songwriter ZZ Ward, Feb. 27; and rock band G. Love & Special Sauce, Feb. 28.

Bally’s Lake Tahoe showroom acts include Queen Revisited, Feb. 14; and comedian Bret Ernest with two shows on Feb. 21 at 6 p.m. and 9 p.m.

Camp Richardson Resort’s Snowshoe Cocktail Races will feature competitors racing with cocktail trays in hand through obstacles while on snowshoes on the beach at The Grove restaurant – all for prizes and bragging rights, Feb. 21, and March 21, 2026.
