Thursday, June 15, 2023, 10 am to 12:00 pm, Forest Bathing at Sugar Pine Point State Park.

The practice of Japanese Forest Bathing, or Shinrinkyoku, involves using all of one’s senses to connect with the natural world. Participants will be led by local Forest Bathing guide, Felix Brosch, who says the guide opens the door and the forest is the therapist. By stepping away from our busy modern lives, we can develop a more intimate relationship with nature. Studies show that even one Forest Bathing experience provides physiological benefits including lowered blood pressure and heart rate, reduced stress, and better sleep quality.

Free to attend. There is a $10 per vehicle parking fee at Sugar Pine Point State Park.
