The brand-new Tahoe Blue Event Center is a state-of-the-art multipurpose facility in a beautiful mountain resort destination. This architectural wonder, located near the largest alpine lake in North America, offers a breathtaking setting that can be tailored to any event and proximity to top-notch hotels and resorts. 

2. When did the Tahoe Blue Event Center open?

The Event Center opened in September 2023 on Lake Tahoe’s South Shore.

The two-level Event Center encompasses a total of 135,000 square feet, featuring a variety of spaces to fit your event’s needs.

  • 50,000 square feet of total meeting, convention and exhibition space
  • 10,000 square feet of meeting space with up to seven breakout rooms
  • 10,000-square-foot event lawn
  • 6,000-seat arena
  • 27,000-square-foot arena floor for trade shows and other uses
  • 158 10×10 booths
  • NBA regulation-sized basketball court

5. How accessible is the Tahoe Blue Event Center?

Getting to the Tahoe Blue Event Center is a breeze. The facility is about an hour from the closest international airport, Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO), which offers flights on 12 airlines, travel from more than 20 nonstop destinations and over 130 daily arrivals and departures. The South Tahoe Airporter offers convenient express shuttle service multiple times a day between RNO and Lake Tahoe’s South Shore. Additionally, travelers can ride with Lake Link—which is an app-based rideshare microtransit service that offers on-demand rides for passengers at no charge. Lake Tahoe is also extremely accessible by car with four highway interchanges. It’s a scenic 2-hour drive from Sacramento and 3.5-hour drive from the Bay Area.
