
New Emerald Bay Pilot Shuttle and Brewery Shuttle Along with
Lake Link Microtransit Expansions
July 9, 2025 (SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif./Nev.) – South Lake Tahoe visitors and residents can utilize new, affordable alternate transportation options this summer for a convenient experience while helping to alleviate cars on the road.
Lake Link, a free microtransit service that launched in 2022, offers rides in zones including the casino corridor in Stateline, Nev., and Al Tahoe Boulevard and Pioneer Trail in South Lake Tahoe, Calif., with expanded routes to Round Hill Pines with additional vehicles added to the fleet. The on-demand system is coordinated through the Lake Link app and operates 365 days per year 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. and until 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays in summer and winter.
As part of the Lake Link service, the Tahoe Blue Event Center (next to the casinos) starts new service for large events starting with the upcoming Sebastian Maniscalco show, July 12. For this special event, Tahoe Transportations District will provide service to the event on the regular Route 50 service until 9pm and an Amador Stagelines shuttle will pick up the post-show service at 10 p.m. Tahoeoetransportation.org.
The Lake Tahoe Community Center Mobility Hub, located near the Mail Building on campus, may be used for free parking. Attendees using this service can disembark at the Stateline Transit Center and walk to the Event Center or transfer to Route 55, and unload in front of the Event Center on Highway 50. Free parking is also available at the Kingsbury Transit Center at 165 Highway 50, Stateline, with a shorter ride the Route 55 to Golden Nugget across the street from the Event Center. Return service will be provided at 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. by Amador Stagelines with stops along Highway 50 as follows:
- Wildwood Avenue
- Ski Run Boulevard
- Takela Avenue (Beach Retreat)
- LTCC Mobility Hub
- Tahoe Keys Boulevard
- South Y Transit Center
New this summer the Tahoe Chamber unveiled the South Shore Brewery Trail, a free hop-on, hop-off brewery shuttle running every Tuesday and Wednesday through Oct. 1. The Brewery Trail connects five local breweries including South Tahoe Brewing Co., Cold Water Brewery and Grill, Sidellis Lake Tahoe Brewery and Restaurant, South of North Brewing Co., and The Libation Lodge Kitchen & Taproom (by South Lake Brewing Co.). The 14-person shuttle runs 11 a.m. – 6:30 p.m., hosted by Camp Richardson Resort. The resort serves as headquarters for a South Shore beer adventure. As part of the experience, guests can pick up a Brewery Trail passport at any participating establishment and collect stamps for a passport to receive a custom South Shore Beer Trail pint glass.
Coming soon is the Emerald Bay shuttle pilot program that will operate seven days a week from Camp Richardson to Vikingsholm and on weekends only, from the South Tahoe Y Transit Center. The shuttle runs July 15 to October 15, 2025. The round trip cost is $10 for adults, and $5 for kids ages 13 and under.
