Lake Tahoe Historical Society Presents the Kickoff to the Highway 50 Association Wagon Train Western Days, Saturday, May 31, 2025

10:00 am – 4:00 pm at the History Museum Complex located at 3058 Lake Tahoe Blvd. South Lake Tahoe, CA. 96150.

Free admission and family-friendly! Western Day activities include:

  • Tours of the History Museum, 1930s Log Cabin and Osgood Toll House
  • Mark Twain by Revered Performer McAvoy Layne
  • James and Margret Reed of the Donner Party by Celebrated Chautauquans David and Gayle Woodruff
  • Horse Drawn Carriage Rides
  • Children’s Hands-on activities
  • Vendors of Western Wear, Jewelry, Photography, and More
  • Music by Doug Schwartz and the Whiskey Wolves Band
  • Western Entertainment by the Hangtown Marshals
  • Chow down on BBQ and refresh your thirst with a hard (or soft) beverage and much more!

We encourage you to travel to the venue by bicycle, scooter, or Lake Link. Parking is available at the South Lake Tahoe Recreation Center and Girls & Boys Club of Lake Tahoe.

On Sunday, June 1st, view the Wagon Train, on its historic journey to Placerville through South Lake Tahoe.
