Exclusive Tuesdays and Fridays guided tours at 11 am and 12:30 pm let you explore the magic and mystery of the historic Thunderbird Lodge and Whittell Estate grounds. (Wednesdays from July 8 through September 2)
Learn about Captain Whittell’s conservation of Lake Tahoe’s Nevada shoreline and see his world-famous mansion, including secret tunnels, the card house, and the legendary Thunderbird yacht (when available).
RESERVATIONS REQUIRED.
Tours are on Tuesdays and Fridays at 11:00 am and 12:30 pm, May 26 – October 16, 2026. 75-minute lodge and estate tour.
Shuttles depart from the Travel North Tahoe Nevada Welcome (Visitor’s) Center, 969 Tahoe Blvd., Incline Village, NV 89451. Please arrive 10 minutes before departure. No private cars allowed at the Thunderbird Lodge. For more information, call 1-800-GO-TAHOE (1-800-468-2463).
