The City of South Lake Tahoe and the Lake Tahoe Historical Society have teamed together once again for the 5th annual Festival of Winter Lights on Friday, December 12 and Saturday, December 13 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. nightly. The museum and its bookstore will be holding its Holiday in History during the festival and will be open from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday.

This outdoor holiday market-style event will be held in the parking lot of the Lake Tahoe Historical Museum at 3058 Lake Tahoe Blvd., South Lake Tahoe.
Attendees can look forward to a full array of free holiday festivities, including Borges Winter Carriage Rides, kids’ activities with the Tahoe Art League, photos next to the Christmas Fire Engine, a tour of the decorated 1930s cabin, Trail of Lights, and visits to Santa’s House. There will also be plenty of entertainment, including the Lake Tahoe Unified School District Choir, Tahoe Shining Star Dancers, and Live Music.
