6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Friday, July 21, 2023, 6:30 pm at the Lake of the Sky Amphitheater at Taylor Creek Visitor Center.
This program will begin with a 15-20 minute presentation by John “Snowshoe” Thompson, “Mailman of the Sierra”, and end with Snowshoe introducing Samuel Clemens/Mark Twain for his last time at the Lake of the Sky Amphitheater in South Lake Tahoe.
For the last three decades, Chautauqua performer MacAvoy Layne has brought Mark Twain to life at the Lake of the Sky Amphitheater stage. Reportedly a favorite stage for both MacAvoy and Mark, come support the Taylor Creek Visitor Center and MacAvoy during his final performance at this beautiful site. All good things must come to an end, and we hope to see you during Mark Twain’s last evening at Taylor Creek!
For information on additional free Chautauqua performances this summer, see https://comstockcharacters.weebly.com/
