The California Highway Patrol (CHP) in South Lake Tahoe is organizing the first Coffee With A Cop for the season. It will be held on Tuesday, June 3 at Cuppa Tahoe from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Coffee with a Cop brings officers and the community members they serve together, over coffee, to discuss issues and learn more about each other, building relationships one cup at a time.
The mission of Coffee with a Cop is to break down the barriers between police officers and the citizens they serve.
Multiple law enforcement agencies will be on hand.
Cuppa Tahoe is located at the Crossing at Tahoe Valley, 2054 Lake Tahoe Blvd., South Lake Tahoe.

Coffee with a Cop is a national initiative supported by the United States Department of Justice, Office of Community Oriented Policing Services. Similar events are being held across the country as local police departments strive to make lasting connections with the communities they serve.
