At age 17, Anaïs has been artistically very active, involved in the performing arts since age 8. After winning the 2016 Forte International Competition’s Platinum Award at Carnegie Hall, Anaïs won Second Place at Michael Feinstein’s Great American Song Book Academy competition in the summer of 2018 being, at 14, the youngest contestant ever, First Place at the Mabel Mercer Foundation competition, in New York. in March of 2019, at age 15. In 2020, she won the Julie Wilson award and in November 2021, and has just been announced as one of the finalists for Young Arts in jazz voice out of 3 voice finalists nationwide.

Studying voice since 2013 with Sarah Tolar as a recipient of the Rekanati-Kaplan Scholarship Program at the 92nd Street Y as well as with her father, a former opera singer, Anaïs graduated in the spring of 2021 from LaGuardia High School studying drama, and now attends SUNY Purchase, studying jazz voice with Alexis Cole and opera with Sherry Overholt, as an Ella Fitzgerald scholar.

Anaïs has had a rapidly growing career as a singer with a love for jazz and the Great American Songbook. Since age 10, Anaïs has had the opportunity to sing with highly acclaimed professionals in the field and perform in prominent venues. Thus, she has performed with the NY Philharmonic in David Geffen Hall with her own compositions, Anaïs made her Rose Hall in Lincoln Center in the Cabaret Convention at age 15, with KT Sullivan, among many other famous personalities in the Cabaret world. She also sang at NJPAC with Billy Stritch and Catherine Russel and has had several sold-out solo shows at Feinstein’s 54 Below and at Birdland, with Billy Stritch, Tedd Firth and Emmet Cohen.

Her debut album, celebrating the music of Duke Ellington and Billy Strayhorn, titled, Lovesome Thing: Anaïs Reno sings Ellington & Strayhorn with the Emmet Cohen trio, was released in 2020 and received international critical acclaim, as well as climbing to no 6 on the jazz chart after performing in the Top 10 for 4 consecutive weeks. Anais was featured on Inside Edition and Good Day NY, on the “New York State of Mind” welcome back to NY video, with such stars as Idina Manzel and Stephen Colbert, and she sang “America the Beautiful” for the 2021 9/11 Mets/ Yankees game. Currently, Anaïs is a much sought-after young vocalist who is regularly offered to perform with great musicians at prominent venues across the US.

The Tallac Historic Site is located 2 miles past the intersection of Highway 50 and Highway 89, just past Camp Richardson, on the lake side of Highway 89. Please turn right on the street with the sign “Valhalla.” If the gate is locked or the 73-space parking lot is full, park along Hwy 89 outside the entrance. There is a large dirt lot just past the Valhalla Tahoe sign. Overnight parking is not allowed inside the gate. At the owner’s own risk, cars can be left overnight outside the gate in the dirt lot. 

We encourage carpooling, bike riding, and good old-fashioned walking. Parking is allowed in designated 73 spaces only. A large public parking lot for the Tallac Historic Site on Heritage Way, one street West of Valhalla Road, is open in late May or early October.

  • There are ~225 yards between the parking lot and the Boathouse Theater. Please wear comfortable shoes and allow time for the walk. A site host can bring a golf cart around for accessibility issues if scheduled ahead of time.  

Food & Beverage:

  • Light snacks, popcorn, and beer and wine are available for sale at our concessions.
  • Outside food and beverages are not allowed in the Boathouse Theater.
  • Outside alcohol is not allowed in the reserved table section/beer garden at outdoor events.
