Ryn Muat

Ryn Muat is the Communications & Community Outreach Manager for Visit Lake Tahoe. Ryn grew up learning the names of local flora and fauna—whether in the hills of the Bay Area or during family trips to their home-away-from-home in South Lake Tahoe. After seven years in Oakland, she followed her heart to the mountains to see if Tahoe might truly be home. Eight years later, she’s still here and loving it more than ever. Her favorite Tahoe pastimes include hiking, backpacking, swimming, dancing on the beach, and exploring the lesser-known corners of the region. A lifelong lover of language and a former English major, Ryn is grateful to contribute to the Visit Lake Tahoe blog. She is Co-Chair of the Destination Stewardship Council Stewardship Action Team and Commissioner for South Lake Tahoe’s Arts Culture and Tourism Committee.
