The third annual Wine and Chocolate Bonspiel will run Saturday & Sunday, February 8 & 9, 2025, at the Lake Tahoe Epic Curling Club.
Curling is an Olympic sport that is a game of strategy, finesse and strength, contested by teams in which players slide stones on a sheet of ice toward a target called the house.
As the stone makes its way down the icy path, teammates use their brooms to strategically reduce friction on the ice to control the speed and trajectory of the stone. This age-old sport has been available in South Lake Tahoe since January 2013.
The event will feature 12 teams. The local team of Eric and Edie Hazard will return to defend their crown.
Curling starts early Feb. 8 with a three-game guarantee for players. The finale will be held Feb. 9 at 12:30 p.m. All are welcome.
