Campground By The Lake
Campground by the Lake, the name says it all, located across Hwy 50 from the big blue, Lake Tahoe. Open May through October. The Campground is just down the street from the Ice Arena and Recreation & Aquatics Center. Cabin, group sites, hook-ups, car & tent campers and weekly rates are available. Dogs allowed on a leash.
The camping season runs from May (weather permitting) through the end of October.
- Reservations for the 2026 camping season open Monday, January 5, 2026.
- Campground by the Lake will open for the 2026 season on Friday, May 1, 2026.
- Reservations for loops D & E will be available from opening day through the end of September, and for loop F beginning the Friday of Memorial Weekend through the end of September.
- All of C Loop is first-come, first-served, all season, and not available for pre-registration.
- Loops A, B, and the tent cabin village are no longer available due to the construction of a New Recreation and Aquatics Center.
