MORE INFO:
The nationally recognized Fourth of July “Lights on the Lake” fireworks show entails pyrotechnics that illuminate the night sky over Lake Tahoe as a spectacular setting to celebrate an Independence Day tradition and America’s 250th anniversary. Bright lights, colors and various formations in spherical patterns and waterfalls, are paired with the musical selections. Beaches, boats, lodging properties, and trails include a variety of ways to view the fireworks.

The holiday and the celebration of America’s 250 is an opportunity for visitors and residents to slow down and set their watch to Tahoe Standard Time–a more relaxed approach to enjoying family, friends, festivities and what makes Tahoe special.

Alternative modes of transportation are highly encouraged including public transit, rideshare, walk or bike. All are welcome to help keep Tahoe beautiful at beach clean-up gatherings post-holiday.

See something, say something: If you spot something that looks like fireworks debris, you can report to (775) 589-2924, visit https://ltva.org/fireworks/ or email TeamFireworks@LTVA.org. If individuals see what looks to be an unexploded or intact shell, call 911 and get a safe distance away. The likelihood that it would go off is slim because it didn’t go off in the first place and it has been in water.

Reminder that personal fireworks are illegal in the Tahoe Basin. Thanks to Tahoe’s marine and law enforcement partners for increasing presence for public safety and enforcement over the Fourth of July weekend and throughout the summer.
