The annual Oktoberfest at Lake Tahoe is back at Camp Richardson Historic Resort and Marina. Camp Richardson’s Oktoberfest in South Lake Tahoe is unique because of the large variety of entertaining, family-friendly activities to choose from—and the event is free!
Oktoberfest activities include German food and desserts, an owner and dog dress up contest, craft booths, face painting, pumpkin patch, balloon art, bounce house, bungee platform, climbing wall, live music, and the event’s always popular beer and wine garden.
At Oktoberfest, you can sip from a souvenir beer mug and enjoy a freshly-cooked turkey leg or IPA beer-infused bratwurst. Kids can visit the face painting booth before heading to the bounce house or bungee jump. Oktoberfest has delicious German beer, food and desserts the whole family will enjoy. Once your stomach is full, you can dance the afternoon away with a Live Band. Dogs are not only welcome at Oktoberfest, but they are encouraged to wear their best Bavarian garb. The family can enjoy seeing everything from Dachshunds to Retrievers strutting around in lederhosen.
In addition to food and fun, Oktoberfest also has an assortment of vendors with handcrafted goods for sale. Find soaps, shirts and more for that hard-to-buy-for friend. These vendors offer Tahoe-specific brands you cannot find anywhere else.
Camp Richardson is a year-round destination resort of pure relaxation offering historic South Lake Tahoe lodging, camping, boating, biking, beach-going, lakeside dining, cross-country skiing, and more. It houses the closest Marina to Emerald Bay and offers an abundance of great ways to explore the waters of Lake Tahoe.
