April 1 @ 5:09 pm

Tuesday, March 24, 2026, 5:30 pm, Tahoe Wildflower Big Year with Bob Sweatt at the Lake Tahoe Library. Join the Friends of the Library for a night of wildflower photos and discovery as Bob Sweatt chronicles his Wildflower Big Year and his search for the elusive Long Petal Lewisia.

The “Big Year” is a celebration of the many hundreds of plant species that make the Tahoe region their home. Sponsored by the Tahoe Institute of Natural Sciences (TINS), it brings together hundreds of amateur naturalists to search and document the hundreds of wildflowers in the Tahoe Basin. Bob will be documenting his Big Year with his photos and stories of the search for the rarest species in the area.
