Location: Tallac Historic Site. Parking is limited, so please carpool if possible.
What we are doing: Volunteers of all ages and skill levels are invited to join us for a fun morning of restoration projects. Together we will work to restore some of Lakes Tahoe’s nearshore environment that was impacted over the winter season and prepare it for the busy summer months ahead.
Projects will include:
Work is from 9 am – 12 pm and lunch is from 12:15 – 1:30 pm.
What to bring: Sturdy boots, long pants and long sleeves. Wear clothes that you can walk on trails with water and you don’t mind getting mud on them. Also bring sunglasses, work gloves (if you have them), and a full reusable water bottle.
We provide: Training, equipment, refreshments, fun giveaways and lunch for volunteers afterwards.
Partners: We are proud to work with the US Forest Service for this event.
