A new organization is stepping into the spotlight in South Lake Tahoe: the Tahoe Ballet & Performing Arts Foundation, which is dedicated to making ballet and performing arts accessible to children in the community. In partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of Lake Tahoe, the Foundation is excited to offer a FREE ballet and performing arts camp this July at Valhalla for children entering 1st through 3rd grades. To raise funds for this enriching experience, the Foundation is hosting its inaugural event, the “Run for the Roses – Kentucky Derby Fundraiser”, on Saturday, May 3rd, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Tahoe Beach Retreat & Lodge. - Adults: $50 – includes passed hors d’oeuvres, one drink ticket, derby games, and access to a silent auction.
- Children: $25 – includes a fun-filled kids’ room with snacks, face painting, Ever After Productions characters, and more!
All proceeds support the Foundation’s mission to provide free, low-cost performing arts opportunities for South Lake Tahoe youth.

The Tahoe Ballet & Performing Arts Foundation is registered with the State of California, with nonprofit status pending. EIN: 33-3907109. The Foundation’s board is made up of passionate and talented members of our local community, including:
- Kelly O’Fallon – Retired professional dancer and former owner/director of the Academy of Dance Arts
- Heather Coleman – Owner and instructor at Pelodog with an extensive background in dance
- Eddi Beaty – Certified breathing coach and founder of Eddifying Breathwork
- Kelly Tillson – Partner at Tillson Law, P.C.
- Madison Hicks – Co-founder of Gathered & Grown Home
- Natalia Wieczorek – Architect and owner of BFD/Key Architecture
- Dr. Audrey DaSilva – Pediatrician at Barton Pediatrics
- Nicole Bardzell – Client Relationship Manager at The Hartford and a classically trained vocalist
