Opening Day at Heavenly Mountain Resort

Opening Day at Heavenly Mountain Ski Resort is Tuesday, November 21st!

Time to rock and roll. After a slight delay, we’re now opening Tuesday, November 21!

We’ll be kicking things off with an opening day/early season terrain package that includes the Tram, Patsy’s, and Powderbowl lifts and a small terrain park at the top of Powderbowl. We will also be continuing to operate the Gondola for sightseeing only. Hopefully temps continue to cool and snow keeps flying to allow us to open more terrain as quickly – and safely – as possible.  

Here are some additional details about what will be open, and what is going on around the resort: 

• Food & Beverage: California Lodge, Stein’s, Umbrella Bar, Tamarack, and Café Blue. (Please check individual locations for hours of operation.) 
• Tickets & Passes: (Mobile tickets now available on the My Epic App! NEW 2023-24 season)  

o   Cal Lodge Ticket Window: Mon. – Fri., 8:30am-4:30pm; Weekends + Holidays: 8am-4:30pm 

o   Gondola Ticket Window: Mon. – Fri., 8:30am-4:30pm; Weekends + Holidays: 8am-4:30pm 

• Retail and Rental: Heavenly Sports California Main Lodge Rentals, Heavenly Sports Marriott (Gondola), Heavenly Sports Cecil’s (Ski Demos), Boardinghouse (SB Demos) 

o   Retail only: Patagonia, The North Face, Oakley, Gondola Sports (mid-station), Heavenly Sports Tamarack 

• Activities: DJ at base of Gunbarrel and base of Powderbowl, banner break at the top of Powderbowl. 
• SRS: No lessons available until beginner/teaching terrain (DMZ) has sufficient snow to fully open; intermediate and advanced lessons (private and group) to be made available following the opening of added terrain after the resort’s opening.

The Heavenly Gondola will open for sightseeing only on Friday, November 17th from 10AM – 4PM daily until the mountain is open for skiing. We’ll have various dining options available on the mountain including Tamarack Lodge & Blue Sky Café from 11AM – 3PM. Additionally, the retail shops in the Heavenly Village will also be open. Pass holders will receive free sightseeing gondola access and 20% off on mountain locations food & beverage outlets.

Kirkwood  Mountain Resort plans to open for the 2023-24 winter season on Saturday, December 1, 2023. Conditions permitting.
