The holiday season officially comes to life at The Shops at Heavenly Village on Friday, November 27, 2026, with one of Lake Tahoe’s most anticipated holiday traditions — the Heavenly Village Holiday Tree Lighting.
Join us beginning at 6:30 PM as Heavenly Village lights its spectacular 65-foot-tall fresh-cut Christmas tree, transforming the Village into a sparkling holiday destination in the heart of South Lake Tahoe.
Recognized as one of the best tree-lighting events in the nation, this annual celebration brings together locals and visitors for an unforgettable evening filled with holiday lights, festive energy, live entertainment, and community spirit.
This year’s celebration will be hosted by Senator Alexandra Duarte and Sheriff Jeff Leikauf, with a special live performance by Mark Mackay.
Best of all, admission is FREE, making it the perfect way for families, friends, and visitors to kick off Thanksgiving weekend and the Christmas season in Lake Tahoe.
After November 27th, join us daily at 5:30 pm, as Santa lights our spectacular 65-foot, brilliantly lit fir tree! Don’t miss the holiday magic with Santa himself in attendance!
Parking is available in the Bellamy Way parking garage.
The Heavenly Holidays celebration continues throughout December with free entertainment, Breakfast with Santa, live music, ice sculpting, and more, bringing joy to locals and visitors alike. For more information, visit www.theshopsattheheavenly.com or follow @HeavenlyVillage on social media for updates and holiday event schedules.
These festivities create a magical holiday atmosphere through partnerships with Visit Lake Tahoe, Heavenly Mountain Resort, and The Shops at Heavenly Village. For New Year’s Eve, headlining performers promise an unforgettable celebration with a spectacular fireworks show.
