Snowshoe Tours with Tahoe Adventure Company
Bundle up and let the moon light your way on a guided snowshoe trek by Tahoe Adventure Company. On full moon nights between November and April, follow an expert guide along a wintry 2-3 mile trail while learning about astronomy and the area’s natural history. With provided gear, warm drinks and snacks, the tour — $95 per person — is available for all skill levels and kids ages eight and up. The location of the hike varies based on the snowpack and the group’s lodging locations. Not a night owl? Try the sunset snowshoe trek instead.
Full Moon Snowshoe Tours
Join us for our very special Full Moon Snowshoe Treks. Take in the brisk mountain air as you
snowshoe under the moon and learn about the High Sierra. Our knowledgeable guides will
discuss local natural history and fascinating facts about our moon. Perfect for the family and
après ski! Cost: $95 pp. Time: Dependent upon moonrise. Trip Includes: Snowshoes, poles,
knowledgeable guides, natural and human history discussions, trail snacks, hot drinks, and
permit fees. No experience necessary.

Sunset Snowshoe Tours
Watch the sun cast a purple alpenglow onto the Sierra while trekking through Tahoe’s peaceful
forest. Experience the solitude of winter at this special time of day while learning local natural
and human history. Cost: $95 pp. Time: Varies based on sunset times. Trip Includes:
Snowshoes, poles, knowledgeable guides, natural and human history discussions, trail snacks,
hot drinks, and permit fees.

Daytime Snowshoe Tours:
Discover the finer points of winter ecology and other unique conditions of the Tahoe Truckee
area with our guided snowshoe tours! We will also stop along the way to take in the beautiful
views. Our guided Snowshoe Tours are popular with all levels of nature enthusiasts. Cost: $99
pp. Time: 10 am-1 pm. Trip Includes: Snowshoes, poles, knowledgeable guides, natural and
human history discussions, trail snacks, hot drinks, and permit fees. No experience necessary.
