moe. is one of the longest-running and most influential bands in the American jam-band scene. Formed in Buffalo, New York, more than 35 years ago, the six-piece group built a devoted following through its blend of rock, improvisation, progressive influences, humor, and adventurous live performances. The band’s current lineup includes Rob Derhak, Al Schnier, Chuck Garvey, Vinnie Amico, Jim Loughlin, and Nate Wilson.
Known for extended improvisational jams and a constantly evolving concert repertoire, moe. emerged alongside groups such as Phish, Blues Traveler, and Widespread Panic as pioneers of the modern jam-band movement. Their catalog includes fan favorites such as Tin Cans & Car Tires, The Conch, and the recent album Circle of Giants, which showcases the band’s resilience and continued creativity after decades on the road.
Celebrated for “mind-bending musicality” and energetic live shows, moe. continues to perform extensively, averaging roughly 100 concerts per year and attracting audiences who appreciate both strong songwriting and spontaneous musical exploration.
