Flights From Chicago To Lake Tahoe Are Direct

Chicago. The birthplace of the modern skyscraper and the Electric blues. A place where the world’s tallest skyscraper stood for multiple decades and a man named Burnham brought forth the idea of urban planning. A city where ideas are never small. Even the most passionate Chicagoans need a break from city living. Why not go to THE mountain vacation destination that has it all – Lake Tahoe! And like any decent place to vacation, there are direct flights from Chicago to Lake Tahoe via O’Hare AND Midway.

Fun For All

If Vegas calls itself “America’s Playground”, then Tahoe is “America’s Outdoor Adventureland.” Just like a Chicago-style hot dog wit everything, you’ll find every type of fun you can imagine and then some. Golfers can test their skills from budget-friendly to world-class links right on the shores of Lake Tahoe. Adrenaline junkies can ski to their heart’s content at any of the dozen ski resorts and ride miles of mountain bike trails. For those looking to decompress, there are miles of Caribbean-like beaches as far as the eye can see. This is just a small taste of all the things you can do in Lake Tahoe.

Escape The Hawk And Grey

We get it… enough with the Windy City jokes being about the weather. It’s about the politics. With that being said, winter can be a bit frigid and grey. And on the other side of the spectrum, by August the warm waters of Lake Michigan no longer give you the refreshing breeze to make it cooler by the lake. No matter when you visit Tahoe, expect A LOT of sunshine. In the summer, temps range between 69 and 77 degrees with a 90% probability of sunshine. While in the winter some of the higher peaks receive over 500” of snow annually, statistically snow only falls 50 days a year. That translates to one day of powder for every three days of blue skies.

Bear Down And Still Have Some Fun In Tahoe

Born and raised in Chicagoland, I understand that Chicagoans are passionate while some might say even fanatical about their sports teams. Even if you’re on vacation, you need access to whatever games are on be it the Hawks, Bulls, Sox, Cubs, or Bears. After you’ve had your fill of outdoorsy fun, it’s time to support them. From local sports bars to casinos, you can even trow a fin on Da Bears beating Da Cheeseheads.
