South Lake Tahoe Parks and Recreation/ Swim Pool Complex

Open year-round and centrally located on the south shore, the Complex offers a variety of facilities and programs for adults, youth, and teens: playground, outdoor sand volleyball court, BBQ, multi-use gym, weight room, and a 25 yard, six-lane pool with one-meter diving board and a slide. Lessons, lap and recreation swim offered. The snack bar and Swim Shop is on-site. Room rentals for parties and meetings are available.

New Recreation and Aquatics Center coming in 2026!

Built in 1975, the existing Recreation Center has seen only limited upgrades and routine maintenance over the years. Without a major renovation, many of the original construction systems and materials remain in use, leading to challenges such as wear and tear, code compliance issues, the presence of hazardous materials, and systems nearing the end of their functional lifespan.  As we prepare to open the new Recreation & Aquatics Center, we are excited to share a glimpse of what’s to come. This state-of-the-art facility will serve as a vibrant hub for our community, offering a wide range of activities and resources for all ages.
