The Safari Rose can hold up to 68 guests with 3-4 crew. While 68 is definitely full, it is doable! Colder months would be closer to 35 so that everyone can fit comfortably inside if they choose.
Originally built for the 3M Corporation (Scotch Tape), the Safari Rose is 80 feet long and 20 feet wide. She has six bathrooms, three staterooms, a dining room, heated salon with leather couches, forward bow with comfortable upholstered seating, full bar, beautiful enclosed fantail and an upper sun deck — all operated for your comfort, convenience and safety by a Coast Guard-licensed Master Captain and experienced, professional, friendly crew.
Safari Rose Renovation
For over 45 years, Tahoe Cruises, located in the Ski Run Marina, has been a staple of the South Shore, offering unforgettable sightseeing tours, private charters, weddings, and sunset sails. The renovation was no small feat. Sourcing materials for a vintage yacht of this caliber proved challenging, and Lake Tahoe’s unpredictable weather presented logistical hurdles throughout the process.
“We brought in experts from around the country to ensure every aspect of the restoration met the highest standards,” the Operations Manager explains. “The result is a safer, more efficient, and more luxurious Safari Rose that’s ready to serve our guests for decades to come.”
With the relaunch, Tahoe Cruises is shifting the Safari Rose’s focus to premium offerings, including:
