Brant Allen, UC Davis TERC Field Station manager, boat captain, lead research diver, and long time researcher at Lake Tahoe, will present photos and reminiscences from his three decades of studying Lake Tahoe’s clarity, productivity, and food web changes.
The Tahoe State of the Lake report informs nonscientists about important factors affecting the health of Lake Tahoe and provides the scientific underpinnings for restoration and management decisions within the Lake Tahoe Basin.
At Lake Tahoe, most people have heard the word “Secchi” in reference to the Secchi disk, a 10-inch white disk used to measure lake clarity.
