TOCCATA-Tahoe Symphony Orchestra and Chorus “Remembrance”, 9/11 Memorial Concert Series

Sunday, September 18, 3:00 p.m. South Lake Tahoe • St. Theresa’s Catholic Church.

TOCCATA-Tahoe Symphony Orchestra. This concert is dedicated to all firemen and first responders that helped save South Lake Tahoe in the Caldor Fire. All concert performances will be conducted by Maestro James Rawie.

SARAH COYL, violin — Heralded by Reno Arts News for her “tender” playing, Sarah Coyl enjoys a diverse musical career playing and teaching violin and viola. She is a member of the Reno Philharmonic Orchestra and an instructor of violin at UNR. As an emerging chamber musician, she has performed on viola with world-renowned pianist Joyce Yang. She earned her Master’s degree from the University of Nevada, Reno, where she won the chance to play the Sibelius Violin Concerto with the University Orchestra. Coyl has collaborated with folk and rock bands, even performing with Michael Bolton and Johnny Mathis. Her latest endeavor is an album project of her own arrangements of music from Tchaikovsky’s ballets, arranged for violin and guitar. The album will be published with PARMA recordings and release is slated for early 2023.
