On September 27 + 28, the Lake Tahoe Amphitheatre will host some of the world’s most elite mountain bike athletes as they launch into the inaugural MTB Big Air Competition at the Tahoe Games Mountain Sports Festival, presented by Visit Lake Tahoe and On Course Events.
The first baker’s dozen confirmed athletes include professional Mountain Bikers, X Games icons, BMX innovators turned mountain bikers, and local legends with more than 50 podiums to their names:
- Aidan Howe – Professional Mountain Bike Rider
- Brayden Barrett-Hay – Professional Mountain Bike Rider
- Christian Wright – Free-rider, family man, Tahoe local with 50+ podiums
- Connor Gallart – Coast Guard Vet, MTB Rockstar
- Greg Watts – 2009 joyride champion
- Jett Lloyd – Professional Mountain Bike Rider
- Jonathan Gibbons – Full time bike mechanic who loves to ride bikes
- Josh Hult – 2009 Dew Tour dirt winner
- Karl Immers – Have one eye, first 1440 on BMX
- Leo Landeros – Professional BMX athlete turned mountain biker
- Max Niels – Loves to build trails, ride dirt jumps, and get the next generation stoked
- Ryan McNulty – Professional Mountain Bike Rider
- Owen Davis – Professional BMX
- Zac West – Top 38 in FMB world tour
“This is the first event of its kind in Lake Tahoe, and this roster alone represents the kind of energy we’re building with Tahoe Games,” says Rob Giustina, Owner of On Course Events. “We’re turning the Lake Tahoe Amphitheatre into an outdoor playground that blends world-class competition with community, live music, and endless ways to play.”
While the Big Air comp anchors the weekend, Tahoe Games Mountain Sports Festival is stacked with activations designed for an action packed weekend:
- A Ski & Snowboard Rail Jam, hitting the first rails of the 2025–26 season
- Morning Yoga sessions led by Omni with fresh tracks from DJ Josbeatz
- Kids Bike Jump Jam for future champs 14 and under (pre-registration required)
- The Smaine Fund Zone presented by STIO, turning mini-games and raffles into meaningful fundraising for up-and-coming outdoor athletes
- A vibrant Vendor Village and Health & Wellness Zone
- Live Art and interactive community spaces
- PLUS a full weekend of live music from The Expendables and Jakobs Castle, 880 South, The Happys, Crowd Surf League, Josbeatz and Lake Tahoe DJ.
