Annual South Lake Tahoe Optimist Club’s “Day in Paradise” – Duck Race & Free Kid Games at Tahoe Paradise Park.
Day in Paradise, a fun-filled event for the whole family sponsored by the South Lake Tahoe Optimist Club, will be on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Tahoe Paradise Park.
The day full of family-friendly fun will include the duck races starting at noon, a beer garden, live music with local bands, a car show and shine, and food trucks with tacos, burgers, and more.
During the afternoon, guests will have the opportunity to enjoy many activities. Local agencies will be available to share important information with the public. Various youth groups will perform, including the Gigabite robotics team, dancers from Folklorico and the Studio. Additional entertainment includes the Reno Tyco Drummers and local magician Alex Ramon. The Optimist Club will offer a silent auction and a beer garden. The Junior Optimist Club will coordinate games for elementary youth. Food will be available from several food trucks, including: Very Odd Weiners, Juani’s Tacos, Betty’s Balls, Slice Shack, Shaved Ice and Kettle Corn.
The “Day in Paradise” is a major fundraiser for the Optimist Club. All proceeds from the event go back to local youth programs and scholarships. Our motto is “Friend of Youth.” For more information about the event and the club, please check out their website here.
There is also free bike parking provided by the Lake Tahoe Bicycle Coalition.
