Ski with a Ranger at Kirkwood Mountain Resort

The Eldorado National Forest offers guided tours at Kirkwood Mountain Resort through the Ski with a Ranger conservation education programs.  

These tours last approximately one-hour and are led by Forest Service conservation education staff and volunteers in cooperation with the ski resorts. This free conservation education program is offered to help educate the public about the mission and role of the Forest Service in ski area management, improve public understanding of natural resource processes and issues, and promote environmental literacy and stewardship.

Dates:
Mondays, January 27 through April 7, 2025

Time & Place: 1 p.m. at the bottom of Snowkirk Chair (AKA base of Chair 1)

Note that tours may be cancelled due to inclement weather. For more information about Ski with a Ranger, contact Conservation Education Specialist Reanna Suela at Reanna.Suela@usda.gov.

Participants must be intermediate level skiers/boarders or above and provide their own lift ticket. No reservations are required.  Attendance is on a first-come, first-served basis and group size is limited to 10.
