Saturday, June 15, 2024, 9:00-11:00 am: The Tahoe Area Sierra Club and the Sierra State Parks Foundation are having a clean-up at Washoe Meadows State Park and are calling for the public to come out and lend a hand.
Washoe Meadows is part of the Upper Truckee Watershed, which flows into Lake Tahoe. Litter in the park pollutes our streams, rivers, and aquifers and then flows into the Lake. You can help clean the park and protect the Big Blue!
Clean Tahoe will provide equipment. Please pre-register to sign our waiver. For minors, a parent or guardian must sign off on the waiver. Parking is in a small dirt pull-off at 988 Lake Tahoe Blvd, South Lake Tahoe, CA. There will be Sierra Club signs to follow to where we’ll be set up. We highly recommend biking if you can.
Cost: Free
Signup Instructions: Please sign the waiver after registering.
