Celebrate Mexican Independence Day at The Shops at Heavenly Village on Wednesday, September 16, with an evening of live music, traditional dance, food and festivities in the heart of South Lake Tahoe.
The free community event begins at 5:00 p.m. beneath the Heavenly Gondola, in the area between Fire + Ice and Gunbarrel Tavern. Locals and visitors are invited to gather for a lively celebration highlighting Mexican music, culture and traditions.
Los Norteños de Tahoe will take the stage with live banda and regional Mexican music, while Ballet Folclórico de South Lake Tahoe will perform traditional dances featuring colorful costumes and choreography inspired by Mexican heritage.
Guests can also enjoy food and drink specials throughout the Village, including discounted margaritas and taco offerings from participating restaurants.
The event is part of Heavenly Village’s ongoing lineup of free entertainment and community celebrations, giving guests another reason to spend an evening exploring the Village, supporting local businesses and enjoying South Lake Tahoe.
Produced by Dreu Murin Productions, the celebration is designed to bring the community together while recognizing the traditions and cultural contributions of South Lake Tahoe’s Hispanic community.
