Live Dive Emerald Bay State Park Lake Tahoe

Join California State Parks on September 26 at 1:00 pm for a virtual live dive at Emerald Bay State Park. Go into the Emerald Forest dive site, the result of a dramatic landslide in 1955. The effect of the slide can be seen as massive tree trunks rise from the depths, creating a stunning underwater forest.

State Parks divers will take you along as they survey the site for aquatic invasive species (AIS), highlighting the critical conservation efforts underway in this area and throughout Lake Tahoe. Viewers will gain insight into the importance of preserving Lake Tahoe’s ecosystem and clarity, and the ongoing fight to “Keep Tahoe Blue”.
