Lake Tahoe Lakers Ice Hockey at the South Lake Tahoe Ice Arena

January 22, 2023

10:30 am - 12:30 pm

November 26 @ 1:44 am

Junior Hockey is back for another season as your Lake Tahoe Lakers gear up for their home opener Friday, September 30th at 7:30 p.m. The Lakers will take on the Ontario Jr Reign, fresh off a resounding win over Long Beach last weekend. This should be a great match-up, so don’t miss out on all the action, especially their “Score for Charity” pre-game event.

In support of our local charities, participants will shoot from center ice and see if they can score into a puck-sized goal. If no goals are scored, the donation increases, and there will be another attempt at the next homestand.

Puck drops at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, September 30, Saturday, October 1, and at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, October 2. All games will be played at the Tahoe Ice Arena, 1176 Rufus Allen Blvd. Ticket prices start at $10.

Game times are as follows. Upcoming home schedule

The ownership group of Ryan Cruthers, Jocelyn Langlois and Saul Salama are excited to announce a new expansion team the Lake Tahoe Lakers in the USPHL Premier Pacific Division. The Lakers will begin play this coming 2022-2023 season at South Lake Tahoe Ice Arena.

This ownership group is no stranger to the USPHL as they currently own the reigning Premier and Elite National Champion Charlotte Rush and the Charleston Colonials.

Founded in 2012, the United States Premier Hockey League is comprised of more than 550 teams, fielding more than 11,000 players in more than 100 organizations. Teams are geographically diverse, ranging from North and South to the Midwest and West Coast. The goal of the USPHL is to prepare and develop players for college hockey (and beyond) through a tiered development program. The USPHL has sent more than 2,000 players to college hockey in its eight years of existence.

“The USPHL has done an excellent job promoting and advancing its players to college hockey, and we are proud to be members of this great league. We believe our track record with player advancement, college placement and competitive success – and now coupled with the location of Lake Tahoe – makes it an ideal location for a junior hockey player looking to advance.” – LTL Ownership.
