Himmel Haus is expanding its annual Oktoberfest celebration this year with four events spread across three weekends, beginning September 19. The lineup includes family-friendly Kinderfest, a traditional Oktoberfest celebration, the return of the Mr. and Mrs. Oktoberfest Pageant, and a new Sunday event featuring live polka music from Alpine Sound and a life-size foosball tournament.
Kinderfest kicks things off Saturday, September 19, from noon to 5 p.m. with a bouncy house, snow cones, cotton candy, face painting and prizes for the best-dressed kids.
On Sunday, September 20, Alpine Sound will perform from 2 to 5 p.m. while teams compete in a human-sized foosball tournament on the patio, with cash prizes and no entry fee.
The festivities continue Saturday, September 26, with Himmel Haus’ traditional Oktoberfest celebration, featuring a special German-inspired menu and ceremonial keg tapping. The series wraps up Saturday, October 3, with the 21-and-over Mr. and Mrs. Oktoberfest Pageant, where contestants compete in German attire through runway walks, questions and talent performances for a share of $1,000 in cash prizes.
