Join your friends and neighbors for the annual free pre-Thanksgiving Spaghetti Dinner hosted by the St. Joseph Community Land Trust (SJCLT) on Thursday, November 20. They had an incredible year and would love the opportunity to thank their members and community for their support.
Before all the Thanksgiving preparation begins, come relax and let SJCLT and the Knights of Columbus serve you a delicious Spaghetti Dinner.
Wine raffle prizes and enter the free drawing for a turkey to take home for Thanksgiving.
The evening’s entertainment will be provided by The Studio’s Shining Stars Dancers.
Doors open to mingle with SJCLT board members at 5:30 p.m., dinner is served from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., and socializing will continue to 8 p.m. The dinner will be held at St. Theresa Grace Hall, 1041 Lyons Avenue, South Lake Tahoe.
SJCLT is organized as a community land trust. The foundations of the CLT model include:
Dual ownership: CLT retains ownership of land/sells homes to income-qualified homebuyers subject to a 99-year ground lease to remove land from the speculative market
Perpetual affordability: resale restrictions in ground lease preserve affordability
Stewardship: homebuyer education & support to preserve assets for future generations
Community participation: The board of directors includes CLT low and moderate-income beneficiaries and community representatives.
