Friday – Sunday, March 22-24 and 29-31. This spelling bee is one unforgettable experience. An eclectic group of six mid-pubescents vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives, six awkward spelling champions learn that winning (and losing) isn’t everything. South Lake Tahoe High School Theatre.

A riotous coming of age story, complete with audience participation and improvisation, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is a delightful and poignant crowd pleaser. PG-13.
NOTE: The show has a small amount of language and adult subject matter. One of the musical numbers is slightly bawdy and deals with the inescapable fact that one of the young Spelling Bee contestants is facing the onset of puberty, with some embarrassing consequences.
