Stuart Maas

Stuart Maas is the Senior Director of Marketing & Business Development at Visit Lake Tahoe, where he leads destination strategy focused on marketing, events, meetings, conventions, and sports tourism. Originally from Scotland, Stuart spent his childhood visiting family in Lake Tahoe before ultimately deciding to make the region his home in 2001. In his role, he works closely with event organizers, sports rights-holders, and planners to showcase the South Shore as a world-class host destination, blending flexible venues with unforgettable outdoor experiences. A lifelong sports enthusiast, Stuart spends his weekends on the mountains and the water, and is among the few who can claim to have golfed, kayaked, and skied all in a single spring day in Tahoe.
