Wildfire Safety Expo

South Lake Tahoe Fire Rescue will be hosting the annual Wildfire Safety Expo on Saturday, May 18, 2024, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at the South Tahoe Middle School.

Plan to come by and grab some info on how to be more fire safe and prepared for wildfire for the 2024 wildfire season. Various local agencies will be on site with free schwag and valuable wildfire safety info. Free family event. Food trucks Sombreros and Rad Pizza will be on site.

The Wildfire Safety Expo is a free community event intended to provide information on how to be fire safe during this upcoming wildfire season. Each year, wildfire behavior progressively becomes more ferocious. Living in a mountain town means we need to be extra vigilant with our preparedness. Local agencies will be on-site to hand out preparedness information materials and other cool free schwag!

This is a FREE event for everyone, and kids are encouraged to attend. Come meet Smokey Bear! There will be a static display of local fire apparatus for everyone to take a close-up look as well as food trucks on site that will offer great food for sale.
