The 22nd Annual Snowshoe Thompson Ski & Snowshoe Celebration returns once again to the Sierra on Sunday, April 14, 2024, 1:00 – 4:00 pm. at the Lake Tahoe Historical Society Museum Complex located at 3058 Lake Tahoe Blvd.
Join us as for this free event! Hot chocolate, coffee and cookies for a donation. Raffles. Snowshoe Thompson books and merchandise for sale. All are welcome!

From 1856 to 1876 Snowshoe Thompson made 90-mile ski treks over snowdrifts up to 50 feet high through blizzards with 80 mph winds, to deliver mail between California and Nevada over the Sierra Nevada.
