Spring is Here! LET’S PLANT!

Here is our Planting Schedule – check our Calendar and Facebook page the day before the event in case of weather that changes these plans!

As always, we provide seedlings, planting instruction, gloves and tools. You may want to bring your own gloves. Please wear appropriate layers, long pants, closed-toe footwear, and bring water, snacks and sun protection. Kids are always welcome!

Friday, April 26 – Arbor Day!
Turtle Rock Park, Markleeville, CA
10 am – 12 pm (Tree Planting)
Free Lunch @ noon
Celebrate Arbor Day by planting trees! Please note: Meet at Turtle Rock Park at 9:45 a.m. to carpool to Curtz Lake Trailhead. Help restore the Tamarack Fire burn scar and enjoy a complimentary lunch at Turtle Rock Park after planting!

Wednesday, May 1
Memorial Point Overlook, Incline Village, NV
10 am – 2 pm
Come plant sugar pines with Patagonia employees along Tahoe’s ultra-scenic East Shore bike path! Parking is limited and we will be in 2 locations so call the number on our website if you are lost.

Saturday, May 4
High Meadow Trailhead, South Lake Tahoe, CA
10 am – 12 pm
Join Whole Foods employees at this popular trailhead to plant sugar pine seedlings. Be ready to have some fun in the forest!

Sunday, May 5
2 pm – 5 pm
Sagehen Summit 200, Hwy 89
Please be on time to meet at Sagehen Summit and caravan to our beautiful Sagehen Experimental Forest site. We will be planting sugar pines with boy and girl scouts. All are welcome!

Thursday, May 9
Carnelian Woods, 5101 N Lake Blvd, Carnelian Bay, CA
10 am – 2 pm
Join Patagonia and Everline Resort employees in restoring sugar pines on North Shore. This is a great site for sugar pines and there are some old beauties in the area.

Saturday, May 11
2410 Alice Lake Road, South Lake Tahoe, CA
10 am – 12 pm
Come plant sugar pines along the Powerline Trail with our local cub scouts.

This marks the end of our Sugar pine and Jeffrey pine plantings but stay tuned for our Western White Pine plantings at higher elevations later on this spring!
