Facelift Act Local Cleanup at Blue Granite Gym

Join the Yosemite Climbing Association on October 1st for a Facelift Act Local cleanup in South Lake Tahoe, California! Get ready for a full day of giving back to places we play. 

As an extension of the successful Yosemite Facelift event, the objective of Facelift Act Local is for you to pick up litter, engage in service projects on our public lands, and spread the work of stewardship to some of the most visited and beautiful recreation areas in the country. The hope is not only to help clean up South Lake Tahoe in a single day but to inspire action to maintain a pristine landscape here and everywhere you go! 

The presenting partner for the South Lake Tahoe Facelift is Blue Granite Gym. Blue Granite is more than an average climbing gym, offering yoga classes, youth programs, and community events. Climbing access is at the forefront of their daily mission. Staffers and gym-goers alike practice respect, progression, and stewardship.

The South Lake Tahoe Facelift will be a part of a larger three-day event aiming to bring awareness to the Yosemite Climbing Association’s mission. Executive director, professional climber, and philanthropist Timmy O’Niel is the visionary behind the events, aptly titled “Half Dome, Half Mil.” Stay tuned for more information on how to get involved with the YCA’s mission to raise $500K and with the event!

The main event – “Half Dome Half Mil” is Sunday October 2nd 12pm – 4pm Join us to raise the bar, the funds and the roof, at the UNR 4-H’s beautiful outdoor lakeside campus.

We will have excellent food, drinks, live music, a short discussion with an amazing speaker wonderful raffle and auction items and the meaningful shared purpose of coming together to make a difference, while partying all the while.
